On April 7th, the school's harmonica team representing Changhua County participated in the 111th National Student Music Competition. They performed their chosen piece "A Letter to You at 15", incorporating singing and a letter dedicated to their families. Their emotional performance moved everyone present, and they were awarded an excellent grade of 89.72 in the high school and vocational group harmonica ensemble category. Prior to the competition, Minister Tsai of the Ministry of Justice encouraged the girls through video conferencing, recognizing their hard work and perseverance towards their dreams. The students responded by thanking the Minister for the funding that helped them purchase new instruments, enhancing their performance during the competition. Despite a difficult learning process, ten out of the nineteen competing students joined the team in December 2022, and they all worked hard with the guidance of renowned harmonica player Chen Fachen and composer Lu Yizhen. The girls persevered and overcame tough competition from teams across the country, making their performance and emotional stories the highlight of the event.
